One of the most important methods of rehabilitation and education for the children living in this home is sports and musical activities; when they exercise and sing, they become filled with passion and ability. Voice, sounds, and rhythmic movements can activate their imagination and dreams; rhythm and melody reduce their worries, eliminate their inability to communicate with the environment, and make the pain of being away from home and its inhabitants more bearable for them.
The Vahdat Charity Physiotherapy Department is equipped with the necessary equipment and facilities for the mentally disabled. This department uses physical exercises and physical factors such as light, heat, and sound to increase muscle strength and range of motion of joints, helping to improve balance and coordination of movements for the disabled.
One of the most important areas that social workers focus on when working with people with disabilities at the Unity Charity Center is psychosocial rehabilitation. These rehabilitation activities include all targeted measures to reduce the impact of disability on the individual, enable the individual to achieve independence, increase quality of life, and self-actualization.
Vahdat Charity’s speech therapy specialists work to educate and improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing problems for clients who have these disorders. Autism spectrum disorders, speech and language delays, pronunciation disorders, stuttering, problems caused by voice disorders, swallowing disorders, etc. are among the issues that fall under the umbrella of speech therapy.
