The Vahdat Charity Center for the Mentally Disabled was registered in 1970 under number 3991. This center is formed as a board of trustees, from which the board of directors is elected.
Mr. Amirbeigi and Ms. Kian, with more than 25 years of experience, along with other members, including the CEO and director of the Vahdat Charity Center, began their activities in the field of rehabilitation of the disabled, completely free of charge and full-time, with the aim of providing round-the-clock care to girls over 14 years of age with mental and physical disabilities and providing services to loved ones who are from the poor strata of society.
From the very beginning of its activity, the founders of this center believed that a center alone and by relying on a limited group could not achieve its goals well. Therefore, based on good intentions and relying on the generous help of benefactors, in the light of the grace of God Almighty, this center has succeeded to this day in serving these deprived and underprivileged groups and taking steps to support them.
The acronym “Vahdat” is derived from the type of activities of this center and the support of philanthropists (the presence of the support of rehabilitating hands); because from the very beginning, it has been run by attracting public donations, people’s benevolent intentions, and voluntary activities.
Holding markets, distributing piggy banks, and joining the Vahdat Charity Group have been some of the center’s ways of attracting public donations.
This center was able to significantly improve the recovery rate of disabled girls over the age of 14 in a short period of time, with the support and trust of the public, the hard work of volunteer members, and through specialized methods. It has tried to restore happiness and vitality to these teenage and young disabled girls while preserving their human dignity.
Currently, the Vahdat complex consists of two buildings: Building No. 1 (with an approximate area of 2,750 meters of land and a building area of 1,700 meters) and Building No. 2 (with an approximate area of 1,360 meters of land and a building area of 6,000 meters).
Building No. 2 was built due to a lack of space and medical and educational facilities in order to improve the quantity and quality of these services on a broader scale to a larger group of needy clients, with the efforts and help of valuable benefactors.
This building, with a capacity of 200 people, has four separate sections for hospice care for clients in different disability groups, as well as educational, therapeutic, dental, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, counseling, and psychiatric departments.
Our success and that of the Vahdat Charity Center depends on your help, dear ones. To achieve this goal, recognition of this center and the inner desire of you, dear donors, to help these disadvantaged people in need are the most important and first conditions.
Our wish is to create unity and solidarity between you and us; a unity that will result in a smile on the lips of these suffering people.
We are grateful to all the benefactors who have helped this center in any way and in any capacity until today; we hope that we will always be successful in serving this deprived and disabled group.
