It also plays a fundamental role by providing social support to and identifying those with disabilities, designing fun and enjoyable programs, increasing the connection between the disabled and the environment, nurses, and caregivers, etc.

Mental retardation or intellectual disabilities are the most common disabilities that affect all aspects of a child’s development. These individuals develop more slowly physically, acquire language more slowly, learn and care for themselves more slowly, and master academic skills more slowly. For this reason, they should receive special and specific education with educational facilities specific to this group so that they can experience a better quality of life by increasing their social skills, self-help skills, academic skills, and basic skills.

  • Art Therapy: Art therapy is a useful and effective tool in mental illnesses. Art therapy uses a variety of methods such as painting, drawing, crafting, and collage to help the physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being of a mentally and physically disabled person.
