Daycare and care services for the mentally disabled

Vahdat Charity Center for the Mentally Disabled: This center is one of the oldest charity centers related to the rehabilitation of the mentally disabled in Region 4, which began its activities in 1980 with the aim of providing round-the-clock care for disabled girls over the age of fourteen with mental and physical disabilities. This is a humanitarian foundation based on the good intentions and cash and non-cash contributions of charitable people, non-governmental organizations, and the public, which, in cooperation with doctors and charitable trainers in the departments of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dentistry, and education (for trainable clients), provides specialized services to these loved ones. In order to expand care services to a larger group of mentally disabled people from low-income groups, Building No. 2 of the Vahdat Charity Center was built under the grace of God Almighty and the efforts and help of valuable donors. Currently, this center is operating in the field of rehabilitation with a capacity to accommodate 200 people to provide services to female mentally disabled clients. The Vahdat Charity Organization, licensed by the Tehran Welfare Department, has begun its activities in 1982 with the aim of supporting mentally disabled girls over the age of 14, mostly unaccompanied and maltreated, with trust in God and seeking divine grace. This institution is managed by a board of trustees, which is comprised of a group of the institution’s founders, trustees, and benefactors.
